ABOUT VAITALIKA FOUNDATION

Vaitalika Foundation is a student-led nonprofit that aims to preserve South Asian cultural art forms by supporting underprivileged artists and by reconnecting individuals with their roots. Through our programs and initiatives, we provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for artistic expression, fostering a vibrant community that cherishes and sustains South Asian cultural heritage. Our ultimate goal is to ensure the continuity and celebration of these art forms for generations to come, empowering both artists and enthusiasts to find inspiration, identity, and pride in their cultural legacy.

Founder / President

Preethika Pavirala

Preethika was born in the United States but grew up immersed in Indian culture. From Sangeetham and Kuchipudi classes to Sunday school, her connection to her roots ran deep. In 2019, her family moved to India, where her love for culture found its purpose. After visits to orphanages where she danced with the children and a trip to Shilparamam where she saw the talent of rural artisans, she discovered her passion of wanting to support underprivileged artists. She then founded Vaitalika Foundation in the hope of providing passionate children in orphanages with art classes and supporting rural women artisans, while preserving and promoting the cultural art forms that she loved so much.
