Our Projects
CHERIAL VILLAGE
We are working with the village of Cherial as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting and preserving traditional art forms. During our visit, the Vaitalika team had the distinct pleasure of immersing ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of this village, where we learned about the art form alongside 30 other extremely passionate rural women. These remarkable women are currently undergoing a training process, led by the central Cherial art family of the village. Their dedication and enthusiasm for preserving this unique art form left us deeply humbled and inspired. In the hope of empowering these talented women to continue their pursuit of Cherial art with the tools and resources they need, we donated essential supplies that will aid in their artistic journey, including OBD paint, clear varnish, white cloth, and a laptop. Along with this, we are working with them to provide them with extra training support and more sales opportunities.

We are privileged to work with a group of 15 exceptionally dedicated young girls from Cheers Foundation who harbor a deep passion for dance and aspire to pursue it as either a full-time or part-time career in the future. To support their dreams and nurture their talent, we go beyond conventional dance classes. In addition to providing them with an experienced dance teacher, we recently organized a transformative Kuchipudi boot camp. This intensive program not only honed their dance skills but also instilled a profound appreciation for the cultural and historical roots of Kuchipudi. We are inspired by the unwavering dedication of these young dancers and remain committed to empowering them as they embark on their journey towards a career in dance.

SMAE EVENT
In a collaborative effort between Vaitalika and SMAE, we conducted a captivating Kuchipudi workshop on August 26th at the TSWRS Girls Government School. This workshop provided an enlightening introduction to the intricate art form of Kuchipudi, offering students a comprehensive experience encompassing both practical and theoretical aspects. Through this workshop, the students delved into the fundamentals of Kuchipudi, immersing themselves in its rich cultural heritage and tradition. It was a transformative opportunity for these young minds to not only learn the graceful movements and expressions but also gain a deeper understanding of the art's historical and cultural significance. The event exemplified our commitment to promoting art education and cultural appreciation in collaboration with SMAE, enriching the lives of these students with the beauty and depth of Kuchipudi.
